Educational Needs
This course will increase the knowledge of basic science and industry, of practicing clinicians in the area of laser and lights and vice versa.
Participants
The course is geared toward practicing physicians who use lasers and light-based technologies and to scientist and industry members who wish to learn more about the interaction between industry, scientists, and clinicians.
Background Requirements
Participants must have knowledge of lasers and light-based technologies.
Instructional Content and/or Expected Learning Outcomes
Upon completion of the course, participants will acquire an understanding of how basic scientists in their field think of clinical problems, how they decide what topics to address and bring to industry, and in turn how industry acknowledges clinicians and clinical problems.
